BIOGRAPHY
Sion Trefor is a composer, performer and producer based in the UK, where he runs a full-service production and recording studio in Cardiff. Established as one of the foremost composers in Wales, Sion is renowned as a virtuoso pianist, multi- instrumentalist and producer, a one man powerhouse of composition, performance and production in all idioms from classical to cutting edge electronica.
Recent highlights include scores for episodes of the new Netflix show “Freud”, the international version of the Gavin & Stacey Christmas special with James Corden, feature-length documentary
Minds Wide Open (featuring Charlotte Church) aswell as scores for Disney, Rolex, Aston Martin, Google Arts & Culture, Comedy Central, Nationwide and Saatchi & Saatchi. Another notable branch of his work is music for stage: the multi-media production “The Last Mermaid”, also starring frequent collaborator Charlotte Church and shown at the Welsh Millenium Centre, was met with critical praise across the UK.
Following his debut solo piano release “Fallout”, Sion is currently recording his second piano album to be released under his own name and scoring the feature film Do Not Feed The Animals (British Film Institute, BBC).
